AI Bots Minimizing Milton Damage; Masquerading as Christians on Social Media?
Some are driving people towards crypto scams.
So here’s the X profile photo of an alleged Sarasota realtor:
Clearly this is a fake AI photo. Here’s the alleged real photo from “her” website that is riddled with what appears to be poorly produced AI content. Note the weird blurring by the teeth, so this could also be AI:
The Hive Moderation AI image detector only gave the above photo a score of 8.7% probable AI, but Illuminarty gave it an AI probability of 76.8%.
I suppose it’s possible there is a real Sonia who just decided she wanted to make herself look younger on her X profile, but this seems unlikely.
In a series of tweets, this “Sonia Dillon” claimed God broke up Hurricane Milton into pieces, to stop an alleged plot to lower home prices in Sarasota. Here’s one of the key tweets followed by some others she posted in the past day, not necessarily in chronological order:

There is not landfall in Siesta Key. The hurricane is in pieces. I live 20 minutes from Siesta Key and nothing is happening. God broke that hurricane in pieces before touching land in Florida and.left all ashamed about their forecast. The power of God through prayers it is obvious

Sorry for those who were checking to take advantage of the situation. Sarasota location was chosen to force the homeowners to sell their expensive houses cheap. It was chosen like Kamala and not elected by God for catastrophe

Hurricane Milton was blinded ( with not eyes) when arrived to Florida. It was broken in pieces in the Gulf by wind shears before arrival and the legacy media, supported by major Real Estate Investors , chose Sarasota for its arrival. Originally the path was for Tampa but they forced the path to Sarasota (Siesta and Longboat key where the millions homes are located) and as a cat 3 with winds of 110mph while the local forecast was 45 Mph as a subtropical storm The same was monitored by my driveway cameras This contradiction and evidences are a result of a fix for financial purposes. I am a Florida Realtor and familiar with this type of http://games.by investors and insurance.

This is just propaganda to bring the housing prices down in Sarasota for the Investors to come like sharks to buy them cheap. It is not going to happen

If you know someone who wants to buy or sell in Sarasota/Venice, please, contact me. I am a Florida Realtor and have the evidences that the Hurricane Milton cat 3 didn’t hit Sarasota or Venice. Only a subtropical storm of 45mph with not impact on housing prices or insurance costs. My email: smliz51@gmail.com
And so here’s the sale - while bashing a plot to lower housing prices and buy houses for cheap, this realtor now wants you to contact her for help in selling your home. Bizarre, huh?
I saw other tweets by people-most-likely-bots insisting that Hurricane Milton was also nothing more than a “category 2” despite the clear consensus that it was cat 3 at landfall.
While I’m not 100% that this Sandra Dillon is just an AI bot (or a fake person concocted by some overseas team looking to bilk investors)…I have seen clear AI bot activity on YouTube.
One of the latest scams is for the bot to go to some sort of Christian video and then talk about how the “Lord” answered prayers and provided an insane-sounding income of tens of thousands of dollars weekly. These posts will then be swarmed with other bots asking “questions” about the investments, which are often crypto scams.
If you see a comment like this one followed by 25 or more responses on an otherwise tame comment section, you can be sure it is AI bot driven:
Thank you, Father Mark! You are a awesome spiritual father. I was homeless, did drugs, went into prison, where I got to know God. He changed my life. Now I have a home, a husband and a lovely year old daughter (Zoe), and a stream of income that gets me $32,000 Weekly. Plus a new identity- a child of God. Hallelujah!!!
Note the username with the random letters/numbers at the end.
The pattern is this: Say something positive about the video, tell a rags-to-riches story (thanks to “Jesus”), and then throw out some wild number like $32,000 in weekly income. Hallelujah, Praise Jesus!
The bot won’t provide the how right away. Another bot will usually respond with a question about the how to make it seem organic:
Excuse me for real?, how is that possible I have struggling financially, how was that possible?
Response:
Mrs Mary Margaret Schimweg is lord sent!!!
Ah, there it is. A quick search brings up a website with another likely fake person.
That same thread went on for about 60 comments, most bots.
Now, I will need to do more research to find out what other niche markets are being targeted. I’m sure these scammers are going after more than just Christians.

Stephanie, Interesting thinking. I rode Milton out on the beachfront on Longboat Key. The description of what happened is correct, whether or not "she" is using it to promote real estate. Maximum measured wind speed (with local anemometer) was 78MPH, and that for just short periods. The press went looking everywhere to find "big damage" and could only find the fabric roof (a tarp really) that covers the Trop. Sure it was a hurricane -- felt like a Cat 1 but compared to the usual "the world is ending -- this is the big one" nonsense one always hears was a relative nothingburger. Yes, lots of power lines down, but that happens in Florida with every windstorm. They will be back up shortly.
So the real question is how the shtick relates to the real weather incident. One person's interpretation is as good as the next, I suppose. But given these facts, do you have any additional thoughts?
