Poe Introduces Affordable Subscription for Premium Bot Access

New $10/month option is likely due to market competition.

New Discount Plan Offers Poe AI Services at a Reduced Price

I’ve been saying for a while that the initial market standard of $20/month for AI subscriptions was way too high. (I’m looking at you, Microsoft - I’m already paying you $10/month for Office; you’re insane if you think I’m paying you another $20/month just for Copilot.)

Poe.com offers access to a variety of different AI models and the ability to create bots - check out my Pirate Poetry bot here. Originally, Poe cost $20/month, but they have now announced a $10/month plan. Smart move.

Of course, given how many AI startups fail, should we be concerned for the future of Poe? Are they doing this out of concerns over future cashflow? With so many competing AI chat tools these days, we can expect to see a lot more AI startups fold…unfortunately favoring Big Tech companies like Google and Microsoft.

However, Poe is run by Quora, which is a long-running Internet site that has managed to outlast any number of other user-generated content platforms. Poe has been a huge success so far, so I would say this move will only further cement their position as a leading place to get AI help.

We're excited to introduce a new, more affordable way to access Poe's premium bots. Starting today, you can unlock the full potential of Poe for just $10/month plus tax—half the price of our standard subscription.

With this new subscription option, you'll get access to premium text, image, video, and audio bots on Poe, including all models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Meta, Black Forest Labs, Playground, Ideogram, Recraft, Runway, and Pika Labs.

You'll also get 10,000 points daily for longer conversations, larger file uploads, or more media generation.

If you'd like to upgrade, simply click "Subscribe" in the sidebar (web), select your preferred plan, and complete the payment. Note: These new subscription options are only purchasable through web and mobile web.
