Well, this is not surprising.
After a tumultuous five-day period, Sam Altman has resumed his position as CEO of OpenAI, as announced on a social media platform. OpenAI also disclosed a significant restructuring of its board, with Bret Taylor taking on the role of Chair, alongside Larry Summers and Adam D'Angelo. In addition to these changes, Greg Brockman, previously the president of OpenAI, has returned to the company.
This resolution has been reached in response to a petition signed by over 700 employees who threatened to leave OpenAI and join its largest shareholder, Microsoft, unless the board was overhauled and Altman was reinstated.
