Triplo AI Review: Power Tool for AI Generation
Includes desktop and smartphone apps for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and Chromebook
With so many options available, AI startups are hard-pressed to distinguish themselves when it comes to AI chat and content creation. Triplo AI provides a unique offering that will be very helpful for AI power users, but not so much for the average person.
At its core, Triplo AI is yet another ChatGPT clone offering text generation based on your prompts. Here’s what makes it different:
Triplo AI is primarily a desktop app. Yes, you can use it on your smartphone too, but it’s best for desktop. It’s not a Chrome extension. It runs on your computer and can ostensibly work with you “anywhere” on your computer. Triplo has a Linux version, which most certainly sets them apart from many standard tools.
Triplo offers many more options for AI models than most services. Most of these models I have never even heard of, but many common LLMs are available along with more obscure ones.
Triplo offers automation. It’s low code, not no code. I’m not sure if it can be scheduled. I have successfully followed these instructions and set up a test automation via Albato:
At higher membership levels, Triplo also offers AI training so you can input your own data for the AI to remember. There are custom prompts and also other neat tricks you can do with the platform.
But I think Triplo is primarily for power users. For one thing, if you get a multiple-device license, you need to manually insert codes for each and every one and approve them from the “admin” instance of Triplo, which is basically the computer where you installed your first license. (Except, I didn’t learn this until I had already installed my first access code…thankfully the device was the one I would have wanted to use as my admin device.)
Triplo also offers text-to-speech, but you need an OpenAI key for that, and it is my understanding that once you insert your own key, all your queries will be taken from your OpenAI account FIRST and not LAST. Which means, your credits from Triplo won’t be used.
Credits, by the way, are generous at 2 million tokens per device, although I’m unsure how that plays out for each individual model.
Overall, this is a good tool for someone who wants a bit more control over their AI and has the patience to deal with a small learning curve.
