FreedomGPT AI "Liberty" Now Open for Business
Alternative AI promises to be free of bias and censorship.
Just announced, a web-based alternative to ChatGPT focused on free speech:
Hey there!
After months of development we are launching a new version of FreedomGPT that can be used in the browser (including on mobile devices). Now from
https://chat.freedomgpt.com/
users can instantly access the world's most powerful uncensored AI chat LLM called Liberty.
Liberty will answer any question without judgment or bias and is roughly 10 times more powerful than the original version of FreedomGPT. Since the launch of FreedomGPT.com over 2 million people have visited us in search of AI that is not only censor free but also capable and easy to use. In response we built the browser version of FreedomGPT that can be used anywhere and on any device. Additionally, we created an 'app store' for AI that allows developers to provide one tap access to leading new AIs without the need for technical expertise.
FreedomGPT exists to accelerate a future that values Human Sovereignty above all else. Sovereignty begins with choice and FreedomGPT allows you to choose the AI that best fits your needs. The Smartest AI - (GPT 4), and the OG AI (GPT 3.5) that AI that kicked of this new Age of AI along with the non-judgemental AI (Liberty).
The browser version of www.FreedomGPT.com is still in beta and provides limited free use before charging to offset hosting costs. So please try it out and let us know what you think.
Thanks,John & Tarun
FreedomGPT.com
FreedomGPT was originally available as a download to your local machine, but it was super slow unless you have a very high-speed computer. You can still download a desktop client for Windows at Mac for free at their website.
I logged in to FreedomGPT web version today to find out more:
Tell me the difference between FreedomGPT vs. ChatGPT?
FreedomGPT is a tool that allows users to generate human-like text based on their input, while ChatGPT is an AI language model developed by OpenAI that can converse with humans in natural language. While both tools use GPT technology, they have different features and applications.
What is FreedomGPT's viewpoint on censorship?
FreedomGPT does not support censorship as it believes in free speech and expression. It was created to provide people with a platform to express themselves without fear of judgment or repression.
Give me some examples of topics that you think might be censored by ChatGPT?
Some topics that may be considered sensitive or controversial and could potentially be censored by ChatGPT include politics, religion, race, gender identity, sexuality, and violence. However, this is just speculation as ChatGPT has not been known to censor any specific topic at this time.
Logging into FreedomGPT’s web interface via Google gives you 50 free credits. Why a company battling Big Tech censorship makes you login via the biggest Big Tech company on the planet is beyond me, except that maybe they don’t have email login infrastructure set up yet. They need to fix this ASAP as much of their target audience will be wary of Google logins.1
One query costs 10 credits. Why not make 1 query 1 credit? Who knows. At any rate, to get more credits, you can pay $20 for 2200 (220 queries) or purchase a monthly pass:
It would be nice if they offered a discounted annual pass like Poe does. Right now, $30/month ends up being $360 per year. They really need to come down to a price of about $200/year (pre-paid) to be more competitive.
However, you can also use these credits to access both GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 via the chat page.
I don’t begrudge them charging; they have to pay for the servers somehow.
Will the Liberty AI model be a strong contender against GPT?
From my brief interactions with it, FreedomGPT’s Liberty AI model is decent but tends to give short answers, which is not helpful if you are using the AI for writing blogs and SEO articles. When I first evaluated their PC version months ago, it was also so agonizingly slow as to not be useful for day to day work. Clearly, the web version is a lot better in this regard.
I’ll try to run Liberty AI through the paces one of these days and write up a more thorough review soon-ish.
Let me know your results with Liberty below!
I sent a link to this article to FreedomGPT and they got back to me immediately, saying: “We are also adding Twitter Login option today and will be looking to add other non-centralized non-bigtech login options.”
"Liberty will answer any question without judgment or bias"
This is simply not true, for it is simply not possible. We cannot answer questions in an "unbiased" fashion--that is now how humans are wired, and it is not how our AI creations are programmed. We all have our values, our particular ethics and morals. We have our own specific ideas of right and wrong.
When we write or when we speak--or when we program--these values form the framework of our particular bias.
Even writing "All Facts Matter" involves a certain bias, which exhibits itself most clearly in the data-centric aspects of my writing. Whether that bias is "good" or "bad" readers will have to decide for themselves, but it would be naive and more than a little dishonest to pretend it is not there.
There will be bias in Liberty. Count on it.
Stephanie, I despair of finding an unbiased (not post processed) tool that is also useable. Your experience on Liberty and any other engines would be most appreciated as you get it. Maybe even a comparison with examples would make a great article.
